Improv sound score

Noticing a score can come from something so easily and also surprising!
Simple sounds that can come from within, outside and inside the building and from other people! X

Andrea's movement phrase.

This is the phrase from Andrea's lesson, as i have explained on my pictures, it really allows me to disconnect my head from my tail, so i can move with either my pelvis or head. The aspects i can see i need to concentrate on is the balance on all fours, and to grow and straighten and concentrate on alignment. The imagery of growing in this position, helps me to really straighten my arm and leg out as far as they can reach.

This is the 'A B A developed B' phrase i can see where i am good at extending my body on the floor and pushing myself away, however, i think the motif that turns to the corner, i need to concentrate on my alignment and i also think i can afford to lean as far back as i can to feel the sense of 'falling'

These are a few pictures from the phrase in Natalie's lesson, 'A, B, A,' i enjoy doing this phrase as it makes me think about my movement throughout, as most of the movements are the same, i have to think about my alignment throughout the dance, and also my head to tail connection. I also need to think about the connection with floor, one aspect i can work on is the space between the floor and myself, in sections A. Also the fluentness of the phrase is another aspect i need to work on.

These are a few pictures from the phrase in andrea's lesson that begins a with a rown and goes into pressup. I like the phrase as i find myself being fluent in it, it really inspires me, as both my skull and pelvis lead throught the phrase, it allows me to work on this as it is a factor i sometimes strugle with, it really helps me disconnect both throughout the dance and being able to lead with either one or the other.

letting the shoulders fall and widen, opening the chest up and softening the ribs, straightening the fingers and keeping them in the periferal vision, and keeping the elbows soft and not locked back.

Balancing on one side of the body, keeping the skull loose and free, straightening the arm, back and leg, growing to touch either ends of the room, with hands and feet. Being careful not to arch or bend the back either way.

Keeping the arms at shoulder length, Swinging the feet either side, keeping the back on the floor, also stretching as far as you can, keeping the feet on the floor as you change legs, letting them fall before swinging.
